問：光照云何能破惡生善？答：譬如薰藥烟觸，病苦即除，身得安樂。光觸亦爾，以此光從諸善法而出，隨觸苦除。故文云「有以光明而作佛事」。

Question: How can the shining of light destroy evil and give rise to goodness? Answer: For example, when the smoke of fumigating medicine touches someone, their pain and illness are immediately removed, and the body attains ease. The touch of light is also like this: because this light emerges from all wholesome dharmas, wherever it touches, suffering is removed. Hence the text says: "There are those who perform buddha-works by means of light."
