就二辨三句廣中為五：一明三句義廣阿難所不能持、二明假使多阿難亦不能持、三明阿難悔責、四明佛慰喻、五釋不能持義，如文。

Regarding the second, distinguishing that the three phrases are broad, there are five parts: first, explaining that the meaning of the three phrases is broad and cannot be retained by Ānanda; second, explaining that even if there were many Ānandas, they also could not retain it; third, explaining Ānanda's remorse and self-reproach; fourth, explaining the Buddha's comforting and encouraging words; fifth, explaining the meaning of being unable to retain it, as in the text.
