「隨成就眾生則佛土淨」者，若眾生之類是菩薩淨土，眾生正報止善無惡，依報國土則便清淨。正報行善因成則佛土莊嚴，若國土清淨莊嚴名佛土淨也。

"According to maturing sentient beings, the buddha-land is purified": if the categories of sentient beings are the bodhisattva's pure land, when sentient beings' primary retribution refrains from evil and has no wrong, the dependent retribution of the land is then pure. When the causal practice of doing good in the primary retribution is accomplished, the buddha-land is adorned; when the land is pure and adorned, it is called the purification of the buddha-land.
