From "having long accumulated" down is the next line, praising the benefit of voice in transforming others. The reason for this is that by having cultivated dhyāna for a long time, inwardly one accomplishes the marks and signs and outwardly possesses supernatural powers, according with the sentiments of beings. Furthermore, having constantly cultivated wisdom for immeasurable kalpas, inwardly one is able to leave behind fetters and accord with the principle of the marks of dharmas, thereby attaining a pure mind that has crossed beyond the dhyāna concentrations; outwardly one accords with the capacities and conditions of immeasurable sentient beings, being able to employ the four siddhāntas with regard to the four inexpressibles to raise the four teachings, guiding all to realize the principle of the four cessations; therefore it says, "guiding the assembly, already tranquil." The benefits of form and voice bring deep grace and blessing; they are venerable and weighty, and so one must bow one's head. Another explanation: prajñā guides practice, and upon reaching the fruition it ceases; therefore it says "already tranquil." The upper line explains and completes "eyes pure, long and broad"; the lower line explains and completes "mind pure, having already crossed beyond."
