就半品為二：一寶積請說、二如來答。初文為二：一述同類堪聞、二正請說。初云先已發心，是故堪聞。

As for this half chapter, it consists of two parts: first, Ratnakūṭa's request for instruction; second, the Tathāgata's answer. The first passage consists of two parts: first, describing how those of the same company are capable of hearing [the teaching]; second, the formal request for instruction. The first part states that they had already aroused the mind, and are therefore capable of hearing it.
