"The Tathāgata's body is born from such immeasurable pure dharmas": This adduces the broad category to exhort. Vimalakīrti used this as the beginning of his exhortation; the teachings are immeasurable, and all must be cultivated and accumulated according to what preceded; hence it says "born from such immeasurable pure dharmas," and all these virtues give birth to the Tathāgata's body. Preached with a single voice, each understands according to their kind; thus, regarding the kinds of causes, fruitions, and practices clarified by the four teachings, using the four siddhāntas to accord with capacities and benefit beings, all universally undertake the practice and obtain its benefit. If learners who investigate this can accurately grasp the previous five sets of two kinds of preachings, which exhort longing for the fruition and practicing the cause, then this sūtra will not have come in vain.
