問：普集真性是從經體，何得用為此經之體？答：真性解脫通為諸經之體，豈不近為此經體耶？但〈佛國品〉文未顯，至下處處顯說，並與前說不乖，故得為此經體也。

Question: The true nature of universal assembly belongs to the essence of that sūtra; how can it be used as the essence of this sūtra? Answer: The liberation of true nature is universally the essence of all sūtras; how could it not be proximate to being the essence of this sūtra? It is simply that it is not yet manifested in the text of the "Buddha-land Chapter"; downstream, it is explicitly expounded in place after place, and none of this is at odds with what was previously expounded. Therefore, it may serve as the essence of this sūtra.
