問：若爾，淨名何得呵不知心？答：種智知根，必因他心，故下次第約不知欲呵。

Question: If so, how can Vimalakīrti rebuke him for not knowing the mind? Answer: The knowledge of aspects [of the path] that knows faculties must rely on [the knowledge of] others' minds; therefore, below he is rebuked successively in terms of not knowing their desires.
