From "Mañjuśrī" onward is the second [part], Mañjuśrī respectfully accepting the command. Since Mañjuśrī had not incurred the fault of being rebuked, he had no excuse to decline. Furthermore, the matters of the five benefits are profound; how could he go against the Great Sage's elevated purpose and abandon this great benefit? Therefore, he respectfully accepted the command. The text has five parts: first, respectfully accepting the command to inquire after the illness; second, the great assembly going together; third, the exchange between guest and host; fourth, properly declaring the purpose; fifth, the assembly at that time gaining benefit. The first has two parts: first, he first humbles himself; second, he directly accepts the command. The first again has two parts: first, he humbles himself; second, he sets forth the matter of his humble difficulty. First, his humbling himself is the ordinary etiquette of a practitioner. Saying "he is difficult to respond to" means that the superior person's wisdom is deep and virtue weighty, so an exchange is not easy.
