6.62

「魔以畏故俛仰而與」，五、魔捨女。既不能自隱，空聲又勸，魔當自念：若不輸女恐加挫辱。畏不獲已，便輸女也。

"Out of fear, the māra reluctantly gave them up": fifth, the māra relinquishes the women. Being unable to conceal himself, and moreover urged by the voice in the air, the māra naturally thought: "If I do not surrender the women, I fear further humiliation will be inflicted." Out of fear and having no other choice, he then surrendered the women.
