6.95

「我時」下，二、善得心得清淨。文為四：一善得心得清淨致敬供養、二淨名謙讓不受、三善得重請令受、四淨名受已迴施。初文者，善得聞說法施，即見施中一切佛法，徹照無染，即是心得清淨。昔稟方便未曾聞此，故歎未曾有。利益事大感德致敬，即能解瓔珞供養報恩。

From "I at that time..." onward is the second, Śāntamati's mind attaining purity. The text has four [parts]: first, Śāntamati's mind attains purity, and he pays homage and makes offerings; second, Vimalakīrti modestly declines and does not accept; third, Śāntamati requests again that he accept; fourth, Vimalakīrti accepts and redirects the gift. In the first part, Śāntamati heard the explanation of the Dharma-gift, immediately saw all buddha-dharmas within giving, thoroughly illuminated and untainted, which is the mind attaining purity. Formerly receiving skillful means, he had never heard this before, hence he marveled at what had never been before. The matter of benefit was great, and feeling grateful for this virtue, he paid homage and was able to unfasten his necklace to make an offering in requital of this kindness.
