「不肯取」者，二、淨名謙讓。本為法益，意不在財，忽即受之容致譏嫌，亦表菩薩內懷不受一切法也。

"Refused to take it" is the second, Vimalakīrti's modest decline. His fundamental intention was the benefit of the Dharma, not material wealth; abruptly accepting it might invite suspicion, and it also manifests that the bodhisattva internally does not accept any dharma.
