「於是至坐師子座」，五、新發意等受旨作禮得昇座者，承彼佛力故。亦是遠表將稱大乘空理，故得昇座。

From "Thereupon [...]" down to "[...] sat upon the lion seats": fifth, that the newly resolved and others receive the instruction, pay homage, and are able to ascend the seats is because they rely on the power of that Buddha. It also remotely signifies that they are about to accord with the Mahāyāna principle of emptiness; therefore they are able to ascend the seats.
