From "We, etc." to "world" is the third [part]: Kāśyapa reproaches himself that the śrāvakas have no share [in this]. For all śrāvakas, their roots are permanently severed, meaning that their seeds do not sprout. "Hearing this, they ought all to weep aloud, their voices shaking the great chiliocosm": because they lack the causal condition of existence in the triple world, they will never have such matters in the great chiliocosm, and therefore he laments and reproaches himself. Kāśyapa's intention here is to subdue those established in the correct state, causing them to become fresh curds, to enter the *Dàpǐn* and mature into ripened curds, and to arrive at the *Lotus Sūtra* and become ghee.
