「所以至聲聞法」，二、明結過釋也。「若住不調伏心是愚人法」者，一往同愚，非即凡愚。如罵人如驢，非即驢也。「若住調伏心是聲聞法」者，亦一往相似非即同也。

"Wherefore... to ...Śrāvaka-dharma" is, second, clarifying the fault and explaining it. "If one abides in an unsubdued mind, this is the dharma of a foolish person": tentatively it is similar to the foolish, but not that one is an ordinary foolish person. It is like scolding someone as a donkey; he is not actually a donkey. "If one abides in a subdued mind, this is the Śrāvaka-dharma": this also is tentatively similar, but not identical.
