8.15

問：〈問疾品〉觀眾生中道而破空病。今觀而不破，豈同前也？答：前為取著，是故須破。今明住理，理自非病，不須破也。

Question: In the 'Inquiring after the Illness' chapter, contemplating the Middle Way of sentient beings broke the illness of emptiness. Now, contemplating it without breaking it, how can it be the same as before? Answer: Previously, because of grasping and attachment, it was necessary to refute it. Now, it clarifies abiding in the principle; the principle itself is not an illness, so it does not need to be refuted.
