Second, from "asking about the sūtra" onwards establishes questions to broadly distinguish, which has two parts: first, considering that the present teaching discusses them together, which has two parts: first, the question; second, the answer, which has two parts: first, pointing to various teachings to reject them in general; second, from "just as" onwards, explains that it is complete according to the meaning of the present sūtra. The four lines of sūtra text from "the text says" onwards correspond in sequence to the four lands. The first line is precisely the land of common residence: bound within the realm, not having seen the true principle, their minds and spirits are agitated and scattered, their good and evil unfixed. The bodhisattva skillfully contemplates their maturity and immaturity: if immature, he uses defilement; if mature, he uses purity. The next line is precisely the land of remainder: the two vehicles of the two teachings and the bodhisattvas of the three teachings, with their delusions within the realm exhausted, are all called 'tamed'; having exited the three realms, they should then have a land, which is called 'with remainder.' The third line is precisely the Fruition-Reward Land: from the first abode and above, having broken the delusion of ignorance, partially realizing intermediate wisdom is called 'entering the Buddha's wisdom.' The fourth line is precisely Tranquil Light: right within sense faculties and dusts, thoroughly penetrating the three truths, complete without diminution, resting in the Tathāgata's permanence; therefore, the arising of sense faculties is precisely the Land of Tranquil Light. As for "distinctly similar," the sūtra has the name of the land together with those converted, and so on; although the designations differ, their meanings invisibly tally. As for "shall be explained separately," in the commentary below, it first uses common residence to universally name the four lines, and next uses the four lines to vertically correspond to the four lands; now it pertains to the second meaning.
