二、對他經辨義，二：初、對《法華》明今經密入，二：初、約顯教立難。荊溪云：釋義違經，其理何在？以顯露教中，《法華》已前不說二乘有生處故。

Second, distinguishing the meaning relative to other sūtras, which has two parts: first, relative to the Lotus Sūtra, clarifying the secret entry of the present sūtra, which has two parts: first, establishing the objection in terms of the explicit teaching. Jingxi says: "Explaining the meaning in contradiction with the sūtra—where does the principle lie? Because in the explicit teaching, prior to the Lotus Sūtra, it is not taught that the two vehicles have a place of rebirth."
