Fourth, different perceptions of the land, in two parts: first, citing the sūtra to indicate it generally. The Quiescent Light is like the precious vessel, and the colors of the rice are like the three lands; because merit is different, one sees disparities in the colors of the rice, and because capacities are different, one sees disparities in the three lands. From "Discussing it to the utmost..." onward, generally indicating its meaning. Jingxi says: From "Discussing it to the utmost" through to "can be seen" still discusses the three lands from the perspective of the Quiescent Light. Because the Quiescent Light is signless, all three are obliterated; because it is invisible, it can be seen. "Ten turns": first, regarding the light and heavy within Co-dwelling; second, regarding Co-dwelling in contrast to With-Remainder; through to the tenth, the various lands being non-defiled and Quiescent Light being non-pure. They are fully set forth in the text below; they will not be discussed in detail here.
