三、「十方」下，結顯化意。「湛若虛空」者，無復眾生七方便異，不見國土淨穢差品，故云無有增減。「盡未」下，荊溪云：引法華經壽量者，引於實果以證權果。所以過去若常，未來必常。如從本果以垂於迹，示淨土行以取眾生。

Third, from "In the ten directions..." onward, concluding by revealing the intention of the conversion. Regarding "tranquil like empty space": there are no longer the differences of sentient beings' seven expedients, nor does one see grades of purity and defilement among the lands; hence it is said that there is neither increase nor decrease. From "Exhausting the future..." onward, Jingxi says: Citing the "Lifespan" chapter of the *Lotus Sūtra* is citing the real fruit to corroborate the provisional fruit. Therefore, if the past was eternal, the future must be eternal. It is like projecting traces from the fundamental fruit, manifesting the practices of the pure land to take in sentient beings.
