初、釋題，二：初、正釋題。「今依正報勝人」者，今依憑正報以立品名，舉正報以收依果也。佛超一切，故曰勝人。二、明來意。

First, explaining the title, in two parts: first, directly explaining the title. 'Now relying on the superior person of direct reward' means: now relying upon direct reward to establish the title of the chapter, raising direct reward to encompass circumstantial fruition. The Buddha surpasses all, hence he is called the 'superior person'. Second, clarifying the reason for its placement.
