Second, praising the transformation of others. Regarding "if distinguishing asuras": because asuras are subsumed under the destinies of hungry ghosts and animals, there are only five destinies. Regarding "taking along the fetters and vowing to be born" and so forth, [Dao]xian says: Because bodhisattvas of the Storehouse Teaching have not yet severed afflictions, all those who vow to be born relinquish this [life] and are born there. If it is spiritual penetrations, then the body in the original place remains while a body is manifested in that place. Regarding "vowing to support the remaining propensities": taking the propensities as seeds for entering birth and death, they make vows to support them, taking on bodies to benefit beings; this is not like a mirror manifesting images in a spontaneous and real transformation. Regarding "also manifesting in various lands outside the realm": this refers to the expedient and real reward [lands].
