問：此前後文皆云此經並約依因，此中何得還引光嚴以證彼正？答：道場是處，義當依因，亦可用表能依法身。況復今經雙表依正，故列諸行並具二途。

Question: The passages before and after this all state that this sūtra is entirely concerned with the circumstantial cause; how is it that here it again cites Guangyan to prove that direct [reward]? Answer: The place of enlightenment is a place, which in meaning corresponds to the circumstantial cause; it may also be used to express the dharmakāya that can rely [upon it]. How much more so given that this sūtra expresses both circumstantial and direct [rewards]; therefore, the various practices listed all possess both avenues.
