二、釋深心。分文節釋，準直心可見。文或有闕，望上說之，下去皆然。「亦何離於十二緣」者，法門無量，因緣收盡。「若事若理」者，於五深心一事四理，亦可四事一理。「緣覺深心」等者，荊溪云：通中存別，意仍在通。次「但具有」下，分於橫竪，通別兼具，具於四種四土故也。

Second, explaining the deep mind. Sectioning and explaining the text can be seen by analogy to the straight mind. Where the text has omissions, explain it by referring to the above; it is the same everywhere below. Regarding "How could it be separated from the twelve conditions?": the dharma gates are limitless, and causal conditions encompass them all. Regarding "Whether phenomena or principle": among the five deep minds, there is one phenomenon and four principles; it may also be four phenomena and one principle. Regarding "The pratyekabuddha's deep mind, etc.," Jingxi says: "Retaining the distinct within the common, the intention still lies in the common." Next, from "Only possessing" downward, distinguishing horizontal and vertical: possessing both common and distinct, because it possesses the four kinds of four lands.
