四、約觀心，二：初、正明觀法，二：初、示行願，二：初、約事成觀行，二：初、總攝生土。「境是心之所依」者，心即能觀，觀即眾生也。境即所依，猶國土也。「眾生者」下，證能觀是眾生義。

Fourth, with reference to contemplation of the mind, in two [parts]: first, correctly clarifying the method of contemplation, in two [parts]: first, showing practice and vow, in two [parts]: first, establishing contemplative practice based on phenomena, in two [parts]: first, generally subsuming sentient beings and lands. Regarding "the object is what the mind relies upon," the mind is the contemplator, and contemplation is sentient beings. The object is what is relied upon, like the lands. From "Sentient beings" onwards, it proves the meaning that the contemplator is sentient beings.
