三、類通四土。「如前四義」者，指前橫釋同居具四，復當今文類通四釋。「四通寂光」等者，荊溪云：其中寂光唯用中下教化調伏，佛慧漸深起根成就，入於究竟常寂光故。

Third, extending the parallels across the four lands. Regarding "like the four meanings above," this refers to the previous horizontal explanation of Co-dwelling as endowed with all four, which also corresponds to extending them across the four explanations in the present text. Regarding "all four connecting to Quiescent Light" and so forth, Jingxi says: Among them, Quiescent Light solely employs the middle and lower [stages] to teach, transform, subdue, and regulate, so that the Buddha wisdom gradually deepens, the faculties are raised and perfected, and one enters the ultimate Constant Quiescent Light.
