十一、示在居士。「此土居家德素」者，謂德行潔白也。「今謂」下，依外國釋居士義也，以經云「斷其貪著」，故知非德素者。「說四檀法」者，四教行施也。

Eleventh, manifesting among lay devotees. 'In this land, dwelling at home with immaculate virtue' refers to having pure and unblemished virtuous conduct. From 'now it is meant' downward, the meaning of lay devotee (gṛhapati) is explained according to foreign lands; because the sūtra says 'severing their greedy attachments,' one knows they were not people of immaculate virtue. 'Preaching the Dharma of the four kinds of generosity' means practicing giving according to the four teachings.
