二、內觀，二：初、引部執。有門以攬地等立眾生名故，故生假地實。空門以四微成四大故，故地但有名，而四微是實。四大尚假，眾生可知。

Second, internal contemplation, in two: first, citing the tenets of the sectarian schools. Because the gate of existence takes earth and the like to establish the name 'sentient being', the being is provisional while earth is real. Because the gate of emptiness takes the four subtle particles to form the four great elements, earth is merely nominal while the four subtle particles are real. If the four great elements are already provisional, sentient beings can be known [to be so].
