Second, from "Now to say" downward, resolves in advance. Phenomena has the meaning of the deluded mind. The mind's defilement means following defiled conditions; the mind's purity means following pure conditions. Defilement and purity being different, the ten realms are distinguished. Because they are fundamentally possessed by nature, it can create according to conditions; therefore the Fuxing explains that creation has two meanings: first, in terms of principle, creating is precisely possessing; second, in terms of phenomena, the circumstantial and direct [rewards] of the ten realms all arise from the mind. Detailed explanations are as in the Xianxing lu.
