三、諸比丘心得解脫。荊溪云：彼比丘益雖不因佛，而因淨名得通教利。當知緣在二聖故也，具如前說。「得羅漢」者，前云真我，復云實相及以雙遊，今結得羅漢者，驗前進明別圓理者，明教功力，非正訶相。心脫是俱，慧脫是慧。

Third, the monks' minds attained liberation. Jingxi says: "Although the benefit of those monks was not through the Buddha, through Jingming they attained the benefit of the Common Teaching. One should know that the conditions resided in the two sages, fully as explained before." Regarding "attaining arhatship": previously he spoke of the 'true self,' again spoke of 'true reality,' and also of 'flying together'; now in concluding that they attained arhatship, it proves that the previous progressive clarification of the Separate and Perfect principles was to elucidate the efficacy of the teaching, not the primary mark of reproach. Mind liberation is liberation both ways; wisdom liberation is wisdom-liberated.
