二、「初問」下，隨文釋義，二：初、約敬田問，二：初、分科。二隨釋，二：初、問知聖法不，二：初、總示分章。荊溪云：以法能成人者，若曉於法，何須問人？下更問人，良由昧法。

Second, from 'first asking' downward, commenting on the meaning following the text, has two [parts]: first, asking in terms of the field of respect, which has two [parts]: first, dividing the sections; second, commenting on them accordingly, which has two [parts]: first, asking whether he knows the noble Dharma, which has two [parts]: first, generally indicating and dividing the chapters. Jingxi says: 'Because the Dharma is able to perfect the person: if one is clear about the Dharma, why must one ask about the person? Asking further about the person below is truly due to being ignorant of the Dharma.'
