五、聞者悟道。「須用通教解釋」等者，以此云得法眼淨是得通教益，故前須約通釋。或是聞安慰幻化之說即悟，得法眼淨也。

Fifth, those who hear realize the Path. Regarding "One must use the shared teaching to explain it, etc.", because this [text] speaks of obtaining purity of the Dharma-eye as obtaining the benefit of the shared teaching, it was previously necessary to explain it in terms of the shared [teaching]. Alternatively, it means that upon hearing the explanation of comfort through illusion and transformation, they immediately awakened and obtained purity of the Dharma-eye.
