五、印定成經。《大論》第二云「佛法有五種人說：一佛口自說、二者佛弟子說、三者仙人說、四者諸天說、五者變化說。」今淨名是佛弟子，故得印定成經也。

Fifth, sealing and confirming to make it a sūtra. The second [fascicle] of the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa says: "The Buddha-Dharma is spoken by five kinds of persons: first, spoken by the Buddha's own mouth; second, spoken by the Buddha's disciples; third, spoken by ṛṣis; fourth, spoken by devas; fifth, spoken by apparitional beings." Now Jingming is a disciple of the Buddha; therefore [his discourse] receives the seal of confirmation to become a sūtra.
