Second is the answer, which has three parts: first, the doctrine, which has two parts: first, raising the real illness of ordinary people; second, comparing it with the provisional illness of holy ones. Second, the simile, which has two parts: first, clarifying non-conjunction; second, from "although not" onward, clarifying the manifestation of forms. Third, from "conjoining" onward, has two parts: first, conjoining non-conjunction. Because the form and mind of both ordinary people and sages are fundamentally empty, illness does not conjoin with the body. Saying "the marks of the body are separated" is equivalent to saying "the marks of the body are empty."
