二、兩宗擅美共顯佛經。「若分別」等者，世以天親為法相宗，龍樹為法性宗，其可知矣。龍樹於佛滅後五百年出，天親九百年出。

Second, the two schools display their respective excellences to illuminate the Buddhist sūtras together. Regarding "if one distinguishes..." and so forth, the world takes Vasubandhu as the Dharma-characteristics school and Nāgārjuna as the Dharma-nature school; this is well known. Nāgārjuna appeared five hundred years after the Buddha's parinirvāṇa, and Vasubandhu appeared nine hundred years after.
