二、約禪定，二：初、分科。二、隨釋，二：初、簡非。荊溪云：若貪著有漏根本等者，世人若但作此釋者，何能釋於中道實慧？小乘尚離根本之著，況菩薩耶？故今文中乃至漸深，以釋諸土。二、顯是。

Second, concerning meditative concentration has two [parts]: first, dividing into sections; second, explaining following [the text], which has two [parts]: first, eliminating what is not [correct]—Jingxi says: regarding "if one is greedily attached to contaminated fundamental [dhyāna]," etc., if ordinary people only offer this explanation, how can they explain the real wisdom of the middle way? The Lesser Vehicle already departs from attachment to the fundamental [dhyānas], how much more so a bodhisattva? Therefore, in the present text it goes even deeper to explain the various lands; second, revealing what is [correct].
