三、一番成喜，二：初問、二答。荊溪云：當行正念等者，若無無作四念處觀見於他陰界法性，安能令他離苦得樂而生中道第一義喜？故無上道諦即中道法喜。

Third, one turn accomplishing joy, has two parts: first, the question; second, the answer. Jingxi says: Regarding "one should practice right mindfulness," etc., if one lacks the contemplation of the four applications of mindfulness of non-action to see the dharma-nature of others' aggregates and realms, how could one cause others to leave suffering, attain happiness, and generate the joy of the supreme truth of the middle way? Hence the unsurpassable truth of the path is precisely the joy of the Dharma of the middle way.
