Second, from "Four teachings" onwards, concluding and indicating. "Often using yāna": mahāyāna is translated here as Great Vehicle; it is simply abbreviated as yāna. "Not the proper intention of the yāna": this sūtra resides in the Mahāyāna, so in rebuking bodhisattvas there are common and specific [aspects]. The common rebukes three, while the specific only rebukes the Tripiṭaka. Therefore, the Common and the Separate have both praise and rebuke; the Tripiṭaka has only rebuke, and the Perfect teaching has only praise. The words of the common rebuke are broad, not the proper substance of the teaching. From "At times" onwards, where the commentary text sometimes clarifies the Tripiṭaka, it is for relative comparison and evaluation, not concerning the main purport of the sūtra.
