Second, from 'Furthermore' onward, revealing the stages through the flavors, in two: first, revealing the stages. Regarding 'at the previous three places' and so forth: since the bodhisattvas of the Tripiṭaka teaching do not sever delusions, though the shallow and profound differ, it is only called milk. For persons of the Common teaching, the matching of stages according to flavor can be known. If the middle way is brought forth, it resides only in the Distinct teaching; if discussing the path of realization, how could it rely on reproach? Now, following the intent of the text, it is spoken according to the path of teaching; hence it resides in ghee, and having encountered reproach and received benefit, it is only then called 'killing a person.'
