次、考性義。問：誰義明有有可有、有無可無，故成自性耶？答：今通明一切內外大小有所得義，必有有可有得有、無可無得無，名有所得，故墮自性也。

Next, investigating the meaning of nature. Question: Whose doctrine clarifies that there is an existence that can exist and a non-existence that can be non-existent, thus constituting intrinsic nature? Answer: Now, to explain generally all doctrines possessing grasping—internal and external, great and small—they necessarily have an existence that can exist as attaining existence, and a non-existence that can be non-existent as attaining non-existence. This is termed possessing grasping, and therefore falls into intrinsic nature.
