問：何故鶖子生疑，如來自變淨土？淨名將至，妙德預變寶方？答：拂疑破病，如來自變淨方。警動群情，妙德預變嚴剎。

Question: Why did the Tathāgata himself transform this into a pure land when Śāriputra gave rise to doubt, whereas Mañjuśrī pre-transformed it into a jeweled realm when Vimalakīrti was about to arrive? Answer: To sweep away doubts and shatter afflictions, the Tathāgata himself transformed it into a pure realm; to arouse and inspire the multitudes, Mañjuśrī pre-transformed it into an adorned land.
