問：佛本濟生，利成欣厭，何不亦令見淨，而唯暫隔穢方？答：機向熟而緣須，暫令見淨；緣不須而未熟，攝穢方。

Question: The Buddha fundamentally saves sentient beings by having the benefit of delight and revulsion accomplished; why did he not also let them see the pure, instead of merely temporarily screening off the impure realm? Answer: When their capacities were maturing and conditions required it, he temporarily let them see the pure; when conditions did not require it and [their capacities] had not yet matured, he gathered back the impure realm.
