Commentary: These latter two clauses are not the same as ordinary beings. When ordinary beings have pratītyasamutpāda, they immediately give rise to the tendencies toward views; the bodhisattva manifests pratītyasamutpāda yet remains distant from the tendencies toward views. Manifesting pratītyasamutpāda means manifesting saṃsāra. When ordinary beings give rise to the intermingling of sentient beings and dharmas, they have the anuśayas of afflictions; the bodhisattva manifests the intermingling of both, yet has no anuśayas of afflictions.
