Commentary: Here there are two lines: (1) Offering to the practitioner's room where the Buddha is present. One who studies this Dharma will uphold the Buddha's body; within one's person there is already the cause of the recompense and transformation bodies, and that which is studied is the dharmakāya Tathāgata, so one can make offerings. One who studies this Dharma should know that in his room there is immediately the Tathāgata. (2) Writing embraces merit and wisdom. If one writes and makes offerings to this Dharma, one immediately embraces merit and wisdom, for this sūtra is able to give rise to both merit and wisdom.
