初、對五陰為念處境。不殺則色質完具，不盜則苦受不生，不婬則邪想不起，不妄則遷流淳實，不飲則了別分明。此之善陰豈獨為境？兼資念慧，故可於陰開四念處：色陰身念處、受陰受念處、想行二陰法念處、識陰心念處。

First, matching the five aggregates as the objects of the applications of mindfulness. When there is no killing, the material form is complete; when there is no stealing, painful feeling does not arise; when there is no unchastity, perverted conception does not arise; when there is no false speech, the flow of formations is genuine and honest; when there is no drinking, discernment of consciousness is distinct and clear. Do these wholesome aggregates merely serve as objects? They additionally support mindfulness and wisdom; therefore, within the aggregates, one can open the four applications of mindfulness: the aggregate of form is the application of mindfulness to the body; the aggregate of feeling is the application of mindfulness to feeling; the two aggregates of conception and formations are the application of mindfulness to dharmas; the aggregate of consciousness is the application of mindfulness to the mind.
