Second, from "binding" onward, matching with the three karmas in terms of phenomenal aspects. Non-killing, non-stealing, and non-unchastity are physical karma. Non-false speech is verbal karma. Non-drinking of alcohol is mental karma. Since upholding accords with the nature, the cause of the precepts is established to consummate the three karmas of a Buddha. The Buddha's body, speech, and mind act in accordance with wisdom without error, which is called the three free-from-faults. Because they are without fault, they require no guarding, which is called the three unguardeds. Manifesting transformations through physical karma is called the wheel of supernatural powers; teaching the Dharma through verbal karma is called the wheel of correct instruction; discerning faculties through mental karma is called the wheel of discerning the mind. All three crush the afflictions and karma of sentient beings, and are unfathomable to the lower stages; hence they are called the three secrets.
