二、明深。別教不通二乘修學，雖復廣攝微塵之眾，唯菩薩根，皆聞佛性次第修入。既無異解，故得稱如；無不證中，故稱為是。

Second, clarifying depth. The Distinct Teaching is not open to the practice and study of the two vehicles. Although it broadly encompasses an assembly as numerous as dust motes, they are exclusively of bodhisattva faculties, all hearing of the Buddha-nature and cultivating and entering it progressively. Since they do not have disparate understandings, it can be called 'thus'; because none fail to realize the middle, it is called 'right'.
