二、「是」下，以圓伏故名除酒法。五住正習同居一念，即惑為觀、觀外無境，如翻大地，草木寧存？亦如日光不與暗共。有何酒法而不除耶？此人事戒輕重等持，與上理戒念念兼行，方名究竟。

Second, from "This" onward, it is called the method of eliminating liquor because of the perfect subduing. The active defilements and residual habits of the five entrenchments reside together in a single thought; delusion itself is contemplation, and outside contemplation there is no realm. Like overturning the great earth, how could grasses and trees survive? It is also like sunlight which does not coexist with darkness. What method of liquor would not be eliminated? For this person, the phenomenal precepts are upheld equally in minor and major aspects, and practiced simultaneously thought after thought with the above precepts of principle; only then is it termed ultimate.
