初、附上諦智問。上觀四諦各發覺智，乃言四佛；今明五戒亦可觀之，成五佛不？問意如此。

First, asking a question based on the above truths and wisdom. The contemplation of the four truths above each developed awakening wisdom, and so spoke of four Buddhas; now clarifying whether the five precepts can also be contemplated to become five Buddhas or not? Such is the meaning of the question.
