初、問。前判似位有二種意：一約十信似於分真、二例普賢似於妙覺。若今瑞相定表十地，豈令十信便登法雲？豈使普賢倒入初地？

First, question. The earlier evaluation of the stage of resemblance had two intents: first, regarding the ten faiths resembling partial realization; second, following the example of Samantabhadra resembling wonderful enlightenment. If the present auspicious signs definitely represent the ten grounds, how could they cause the ten faiths to ascend immediately to the Dharma Cloud? How could they cause Samantabhadra to regress to the first ground?
